Ilia is an articling student at Schultz Frost LLP. Before law school, she was a paralegal at a small commercial litigation and plaintiff-side personal injury firm in Markham, where she appeared on behalf of clients in the Small Claims Court, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Landlord and Tenant Board, and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. In addition, she supported the lawyers in the firm on matters in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Divisional Court by drafting sophisticated legal documents in matters of personal injury, real estate litigation, guardianship, fire and theft insurance, land titles, and criminal justice.
Ilia holds a Bachelor of Music (Hons.) from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Postgraduate Certificate from Centennial College in Paralegal Studies, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor. Ilia is also a skilled musician, and plays flute, piano, guitar and ukulele, and sings.
